A typical job shadow experience at Casco Bay Engineering begins with a supervised tour of our business office, where students can see the day-to-day operations, and learn about our company culture.
The students meet with our office staff and professional engineers and have the opportunity to speak with each professional individually. We advise them about the skills and educational backgrounds we look for in prospective employees. This exposure provides students a chance to observe or discover an occupation that might be of interest to them.
Our job shadow/business tour is typically a one-time, 3-4-hour opportunity for students to visit and learn more about the career(s) available in the engineering field.
We provide the students with lunch in a relaxed setting and have a casual conversation about their takeaways from their day with us.
We strive to make job shadow days relevant and beneficial to the school, the students, and our organization.
